Sparky learns a new trick!
We've had so much fun working with Sparky. He is one of those horses that never gets mad, but constantly thinks and tries to figure out what we are asking of him. He's a quick learner and is so willing, as the following pictures will show. Tom is working with Sparky here, trying to get him to lay down for him. This whole process took about 10 or 15 minutes.
Step one- Sparky is thinking "no problem, you can mess with my feet, and I'm used to giving to the pressure on my head"
"Okay Tom, I'm down on one knee... now what?"
Down on both knees, and Sparky is wondering where we are going with this...
We're getting closer! Sparky is figuring out Tom is asking him to put his shoulder on the ground.
"Is this what you wanted me to do Tom?"
It only took a second for Sparky to realize he'd gotten it right and relax right out!
Of course, we can't lay around all day! There's always work to be done....
